Melbourne director Justin Sisely spent more than a year recruiting virgins willing to put their first sexual encounter up for auction, and the encounter on film.
For taking part in the production, the virgins will receive $20,000 and the lion's share of the winning bid for their chastity.
One of the recruits, "John", told The Daily Telegraph: "Money is a good incentive but I'm really more excited about the journey I'm about to go on."
To avoid being charged prostitution, Sisley will take the documentary to the USA state of Nevada, where a face-to-face auction will be held.
