A bunch of commercial pilots from Sydney is hoping to fill the numerous empty private and corporate jets that fly overhead on a daily basis.

"We saw in our own business how many empty jets were flying around. So why don't we get people to fly the return leg at cheap prices?" co-founder James Baldwin told the Daily Telegraph.

A charter seating ten and normally costing $40,000 for a Sydney to Auckland flight was advertised recently by the new company for just $8000.

"There is no better way to fly.

"You turn up at the airport, you don't have to wait, you are in a private terminal, the pilot meets you at the stairs and away you go in the comfort of your own private jet."
