Not so much a cabaret show as a cry for help, Britney Spears: The Cabaret was commissioned for the Adelaide Cabaret Festival, and has since enjoyed sell-out runs in Sydney and Melbourne. Hilariously funny and strangely touching, the show is a satirical look at the perils of fame. See Britney's hits transformed into cabaret songs, and seamlessly intertwined into the fabric of her life story, at the Brisbane Powerhouse. Must close Sunday!

MELBOURNE

Now in its 32nd year, the St Kilda Festival just keeps getting bigger and better. This year’s festival, running from the 4th to the 12th of February, boasts 132 bands over 9 days across St Kilda streets, the beach and local venues. Check them out on Twitter here.

PERTH

The Perth Festival is on until March 3, and the all-new Festival Gardens is the place to see the best local and international acts. Whatever you’re seeing at the Festival, your ticket gives you priority entry to the Lounge at the gardens. Ciao! Carnevale is a long-standing tradition which is celebrated every year, all over the world. Swim Kids Operation 10,000 aims to teach ten thousand less fortunate kids to swim and survive, and a purpose-built pool has been erected at Customs House in Circular Quay to spread the word. With enough donations and help, up to 10,000 Australian kids will get the chance to learn vital water safety and survival skills which their families couldn’t otherwise pay for.
