Long weekends for Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and the ACT. Whoo for you guys! But even if you don't have a holiday, there's far too much stuff to fit in in a regular weekend. So get clickin' now, or you'll run out of time.

BRISBANE: Vegemite SurfGroms

Kids surfing? Brought to you by Vegemite? Welcome to Australia as. This program's a great introduction to surfing for kids, whether they be 5-8 year old MiniGroms or 9-12 year old SuperGroms. All participants get a kit full of gnarly stuff, including a tube of Vegemite. Now that's fully tubular!

PERTH: The Iwanoff Project

Iwan Iwanoff - he's not a bad guy from Rocky and Bullwinkle, he's actually an internationally-renowned architect. One of his unique homes is up for sale in Dianella, and they're offering more than your average Open For Inspection. It's a full  pop-up gallery featuring furniture, scultpure, clothing, jewellery, paintings, design presentations and even comedy. No interpretive dance though - it might be mistaken for a bid.

ADELAIDE: Womadelaide

What will you do to bide your time until Carrie starts her stint hosting The Project from the City of Churches on Monday? Well, this obscure little world music festival is celebrating its 21st anniversary. There's reggae legend Jimmy Cliff, South African trumpet maestro Hugh Masekela, British jazz-rap pioneers The Herbaliser, plus locals including The Cat Empire, Mia Dyson and The Herd!

MELBOURNE: Moomba

It wouldn't be March in Melbourne without people risking ear infections by flinging themselves into the Yarra River and destroying craft that they've spent most of the previous year constructing. You could be one of the 100,000 people witnessing that at Sunday's Birdman Rally. Or why not check out the famous parade on Monday - it's like Mardi Gras without the overt sexuality. Plus there's fireworks every night!

SYDNEY: Tattoo & Body Art Expo

If you want to get fit you might want to check out The Biggest Loser Biggest Family Workout in Liverpool on Sunday morning. But if you prefer your body modification to be a bit more permanent, then the Tattoo & Body Art Expo may be more your speed. There'll be heaps of the best tattoo artists from around the world, including the star of L.A. Ink, Corey Miller. So if you're thinking of getting a butterfly tramp stamp, rest assured that these guys are fully pro.
