The Melbourne student says she fell pregnant after having sex with two yet-to-be-named St Kilda players.
She first met the AFL players at a high school coaching clinic, but it was in Sydney that phone numbers were exchanged.
She re-introduced herself to the players - who are believed not to have recognise her - after their opening round win against the Swans.
The 16-year-old schoolgirl told them she was 18 and worked in Canberra at the Australian Institute of Sport.
A player from another club is believed to have befriended the girl later on.
The principal of the girl's school has alerted the Department of Education and police.
Both the league and the club are holding their own investigation, and betting on this weekend's St Kilda-Adelaide's match has been suspended.
"It's unfortunate but we’ll work our way through it and at the right time, make a statement," St Kilda coach Ross Lyon (pictured) said today.
The age of consent in both Victoria and New South Wales is 16.
