Comedy force, political junkie, former lawyer, and the voice of his generation (or at least the leader of Talkin ‘ Bout Your Generation's Gen X team) – Charlie Pickering has got them all covered.

And as part of The Project, he is translating a stellar career in comedy into something a little more … serious.

Charlie swapped law for laughs in 2000, and his television and stand-up work has been received with rapturous applause – from his family and others. 

In between accepting award nominations (including those for a Perrier at the Edinburgh Festival and a Barry at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival), he's created Foxtel's The Mansion, hosted Channel V's CashCab and co-hosted Triple M's nationwide weekend breakfast show, Toast.

Charlie's first book, Impractical Jokes, is in the clearance section of good bookstores now.
