What a man, what a man, what a mighty good man

And you thought your boss was good!

Just nod, they could be watching you.

Bus operator Ken Grenda would totes win the award for Australia's most generous boss, hands down (well he would if it were an actual award...but it’s not) after divvying up $15 million to his staff as a reward for their hard work and loyalty.

The 1800 workers at the Victorian, family-owned bus company Grenda thought their banks had made an error when they discovered thousands of dollars in their accounts, the Herald Sun said.

They received an average of $8500 - with some bonuses as high as $30,000 – after the 66 year-old business was sold to Melbourne operator, Ventura for around $400 million last year.

Mr Grenda, the major shareholder, played down the 'best boss' moniker, instead paying tribute to his staff.

"A business is only as good as its people, and our people are fantastic," he said.

"This is to recognise that. We have had people here who are second generation, and one fellow in the same job for 52 years."

Of course, some of the more cynical of you may say this still leaves Mr Grenda with $385 million to blow on building a diamond-fueled robot army if he wants to, but you’re missing the point, which is...you worked for the wrong boss and now you’ll have to buy that signed, life-sized cutout of Billy Dee Williams with your own damn money.

Stupid boss..
