Some people disgust me. Simple as that. I know it's a negative way to start something, but hey, it's true.

I sit here now, gobsmacked beyond belief, struggling to comprehend the 'reasons' behind a news story that I find so horrifying, I want to fight crime. Let's see here. A Korean lady has organised for her 8-year old daughter to 'go under the knife' in order to make her look more Western. Yes, kids. This is plastic surgery we're talking about. On a beautiful 8-year old girl.

Cue the angry mobs and public outrage.

Is it just me or is this absolutely unreasonable, irresponsible and plain stupid? It's ridiculous. It's wrong. It's torture. And it should be illegal. Is there jail time for stupid people? Because this mum should go there. Forever. With no face.

How on earth can you justify getting your child's face cut off and changed because she doesn't look 'Western' enough? There are so many things wrong here, I don't know where to begin. Ooh, I know, I'll start with the fact that SHE GAVE BIRTH TO HER. It's not the daughter’s fault that she looks that way. Let me give you a quick lesson in life, Crazy-mum (as she will now be known). When a child comes out of mummy's tummy, it's usually because they grew inside there. And when your perfect baby comes out and you hold a life that you created in your arms, you usually don't decide 'Hmm, I would have preferred her to look more Western' and then proceed to cut her face off. Did you not think that the fact you don't look Western and the father doesn't look Western, that your daughter probably won’t look Western either?

What is 'Western' anyway? It's rubbish, that's what it is. Western, Eastern, I-don't-care-stern. Embrace the way you look. It takes a lot of courage and confidence to love yourself and be proud of who you are, and Crazy-mum hasn't just ruined that for her daughter, she didn't even give her a chance. And that's what's unfair. The poor girl doesn't have a say, she doesn't even know who she is yet, so how can you put her under such pain and agony to change her. Since when is love simply not enough?

And don't try to tell me that this was done out of love, either. Because that's a whopping fib. It's like kicking someone in the shin and saying you did it because you actually really like them. Like back in Primary School when you'd be mean to the girl you liked, you know? Well, you probably know, Crazy-mum, but your daughter never will. You're having her face cut off, remember? Robbing her of yet another childhood memory.

Apparently the reason behind this 'growing trend' in Westernising yourself is that it leads to more job opportunities and more acceptance. Which comes when you are, as they say, 'pretty'. But this is crap. Again. I can't believe the lengths these few people are going to. Are they really so insecure they feel this needs to be done? I was just reading that it's not even visual things being fixed. Did you know some mothers are having their children's tongue muscles snipped so they can pronounce their English better? This isn't just wrong. It's child abuse. And something needs to be done about it. There need to be laws or jail-time or some form of punishment or prevention for when and if this happens, because it simply can't go on. We can't sit here and let parents get away with this when I can get fined for simply parking my car in the city for 5 minutes longer than a sign says. It's not right.

To sum up my fairly obvious opinion, take a leaf from a normal parent's book, Crazy-mum - DON'T BE A BAD PARENT. Actually, you're not just a bad parent, you're a bad person, and that's the truth. The amount of people in this world that are struggling to start a family is huge, and you have the balls to not only have a beautiful child but then organise to cut and change her face? You're evil. Have you seen the movie 'FaceOff'? Nicolas Cage had his face cut off, and now, in 2011, he's bald and makes below average films. That could happen to your daughter, too.

Have a think about what I've said, Crazy-mum. And while your daughter is getting face surgery, you should get some too. Because I have a feeling that there are some parents in this world that would like to punch yours.
