It's the first time in thirty years an Australian woman has reached the final of a tennis grand slam tournament.
Stosur has beaten some of the biggest names in the game – including Justine Henin and Serena Williams – so far this tournament.
And Jankovic believes she can go all the way.
"She is a very good chance, she is playing very, very well and I think she will do it," she says.
In the other semi-final, fancied Russian, Elena Dementieva, conceded the match to Italy's Francesca Schiavone shortly after tearing a calf muscle in the first set's tie-breaker.
It's the first time either Stosur or Schiavone has made it to the final of a major tournament.
The last Australian woman in a final of a grand slam tournament was Evonne Goolagong Cawley, who won Wimbledon in 1980.
The last Australian woman to win in Paris is Margaret Court in 1973.
