Win that and it's through to the final against either Elena Dementieva (Russia) or Francesca Schiavone (Italy).
Stosur lost in the semis of last year's French Open to eventual winner, Svetlana Kuznetsova.
But having beaten Jankovic in their last encounter, Stosur is brimming with confidence.
"I think I've got as good a chance as anyone.
"Now I'm in the semis and I want to definitely try and keep going."
The last Australian woman to win a grand slam title was Evonne Goolagong, who was victorious at Wimbledon in 1980.
