Williams' daughter, Dhakota, his estranged wife, Roberta, and his father, George, arrived at this morning's funeral in a stretched black Hummer.

The service took place in the same suburban Melbourne church that held the funerals of Williams' rivals, Mark and Lewis Moran.

Williams was serving a life sentence for a number of murders – including Lewis Moran's – when he was beaten to death by a trusted fellow inmate wielding an exercise bike stem earlier this month. 

This morning, his step-daughter, Danielle, told the 100 assembled mourners that Williams was her "best friend".

"I’m sorry I didn’t write to you and visit you as much as I should have, you were always there for me and stuck up for me, I have no excuse," she said.

Williams' plot is near those of his mother and notorious hitman, Andrew "Benji" Veniamin.
