Overnight, an A380 plane flying in from Singapore had two of its tyres burst when it landed at Sydney Airport.

Qantas says the pilots were in control of the plane, passengers were not in any danger and it was not an emergency landing.

Passengers disembarked the troubled plane on the tarmac, where the plane remained for examination by engineers.

On Tuesday, a Qantas jumbo had an engine surge shortly after take-off from Sydney, with some reports alleging the third engine caught fire.

It was forced to turn back to Sydney after dumping fuel into the sea.
