The infidelity-challenged 34-year-old golfer will make his long-awaited public apology early on Saturday morning (Australian time) at a clubhouse in Florida.
His agent, Mark Steinberg, says only a "small group of friends, colleagues and close associates" will be invited to hear Woods talk about his controversial past and his plans for the future.
"He wants to begin the process of making amends," Steinberg said in a statement.
"While Tiger feels that what happened is fundamentally a matter between he and his wife, he also recognises that he has hurt and let down a lot of other people who were close to him.
"He also let down his fans."
The worlds-best-golfer will not be taking any questions.
