Like many Australians, MacKillop is believed to have liked a drink, was known for getting on with the job and was even temporarily ex-communicated for sticking it to her boss.

Tomorrow, the Vatican may take steps to make Mackillop our first saint.

The Vatican must decide if the successful separation of siamese twins Trishna and Krishna was the result of a miracle performed by MacKillop from beyond the grave.

MacKillop is already beatified for her first miracle, which was performed in the 1960s.

But she needs to be credited with another miracle to become a saint. 

Her supporters, who held a 24-hour prayer vigil during the twins' surgery, say that has now occurred.

So will Corey Worthington finally have someone to pray to?
